2005 Midwest Hawgs for Dogs is a huge
success
The IAM Midwest Territory held its 5th Annual Midwest "Hawgs
for Dogs" Run on Saturday,
June 11, 2005. The ride began with 56 participants at Wilwerts
Harley-Davidson in Dubuque and proceeded north to Waukon, IA
Harley-Davidson. A lunch was provided by the Waukon
dealership around noon.

Following the run at 6 p.m., a steak dinner and party was
be held at the Eagles Club in Dubuque.
At the dinner, prizes were raffled off with all proceeds
going to Guide Dogs of America.
There are four different categories of prizes handed out
for the run.
They are:
"farthest ride to the event" (Mike Roepke - Kansas
City, MO),
"oldest bike in the event" (Randy Lemonds - St.
Louis, MO),
"oldest biker" (James Feehan - Dubuque, IA), and
"highest amount of money pledged to Guide Dogs of
America"-
($1,881.00 - Dale and Karen Baetje - Reedsburg, WI).
IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President James E.
Brown and his wife Sheila were in attendance. IAM Midwest
Territory AA Phillip J.Gruber was also in attendance.
General Vice President Brown enthusiastically thanked all
the sponsors, participants and volunteers saying, "We thank
everyone for another successful year of fundraising for
Guide Dogs of America in the Midwest Territory."
