2006 Midwest "Hawgs for Dogs" event is a success,
Despite the rain.

 The IAM Midwest Territory held its 6th Annual Midwest "Hawgs for Dogs" Run in Dubuque, IA
on Saturday, June 9 and the "Hawgs for Dogs" breakfast was held on Sunday June 10, 2006
at the Eagles Club.
 The ride had to be canceled on Saturday because of the rain and cold weather. It was a hard to cancel the ride, but our top priorities are to the riders safety and health first. But, that didn't stop us from having  a lot of fun that evening with a steak dinner and party at the Eagles Club. At the dinner, prizes were raffled off with all proceeds going to "Guide Dogs of America".
 
We awarded prizes to four different categories for the run.

"most miles to the event" (Joe Cooper, 413 miles)


"oldest bike in the event" (Bruce Rebro, 1990 Sturgis Special)


"oldest biker" (Dick "Santa" Savard, 62)


"highest amount of money pledged to Guide Dogs of America"-
(Dale and Karen Baetje - $2,337.00 - Reedsburg, WI).

 

A special raffle was held for a Amana bottom mount Refrigerator which was won by -
Chris Simmons from Minnesota.
